On October 5, the summit, themed “Vietnam Logistics – The Path Ahead” was held in Ho Chi Minh City, organized by Vietnam Investment Review and SLP Vietnam under the sponsorship of the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The conference had 300 participants, who are leaders from state agencies, specialists, Vietnamese and international business associations. Attending the event were THACO President Pham Van Tai and THILOGI President Bui Minh Truc.

In the event, the two seminars “Logistics Trends in Vietnam” and “Creating Opportunities for Future Logistics Development” analyzed the growth drivers in the logistics industry, supply and demand issues, the shifts in warehouses in Vietnam, the trends of modern logistics services, green logistics towards sustainable development, opportunities for logistics businesses in the context of diverse supply chain to reduce risks, optimize costs to gain competitive edges.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Investment said, "To enhance the logistics competitiveness in Vietnam during international economic integration, it is essential that we keep on improve logistics laws and policies, develop the transportation infrastructure, build quality workforces, especially logistics businesses should think of future joint ventures to reinforce mutual strengths and competitiveness."
